I hope everyone is healthy and staying safe! Thank you to the SAU Tech and GOTD teams. I appreciate being able to filter the screen's light easily whenever I am using the computer be that morning, noon, or evening and this enables one to do that in a very quick and simple way. Nothing magically happens in the evening that suddenly makes the light an issue, other than possible impacting your sleep, but protecting one's eye's should always be a concern whenever one is staring at a screen. Sure one can go into Windows settings and turn it one and off at will but still it offers nothing compared to what this specialized software, or other such software I have tried, offers.įor me, while some may think the light is no issue, I'd rather be safe than sorry. Plus, with the Win10 option you either have to set a timer or allow location services, I never would, for a "sunset to sunrise" setting as they view it as just a nighttime thing. Some mentioned a similar ability in Win10 however, that is one setting withthe only customization being strength, not the many choices this offers. If you want to turn it off you can simply set it to "Normal" or right click and "exit" on the program icon to shut down completely. The presets are very convenient (Office, Game, Movie, Night, Reading, etc.) and each of those are further customizable should one want to modify it. I've been trying this for a couple of weeks having gotten a download offering from another site and liking it.
